Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. is seeking a WAN Engineer to support our AFCENT contract located at Shaw AFB, SC.

You will design and engineer enterprise WAN architecture, configure the National IP/MPLS backbone, and manage BGP, OSPF, and MPLS routing to keep the network secure and available 24/7. Qualifications include an Associate degree in a related field or 5+ years IT experience, Microsoft server/AD/storage expertise, and experience with WAN architectures using BGP/OSPF/EIGRP.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field or 3+ years IT experience; or 5+ years IT experience.
• Experience with Microsoft server installation, roles, Active Directory, storage, and performance management.
• Experience designing, engineering, implementing and troubleshooting WAN architectures using BGP/OSPF/EIGRP.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer enterprise WAN architecture.
• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot the National IP/MPLS backbone network.
• Configure and implement BGP, OSPF, and MPLS routing.
• Analyze network performance and security incidents.
• Provide general IT and networking support.
