Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer with active DoD TS-SCI clearance for an on-site patrol role in Herndon, VA. The position requires 2+ years of security experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an active DoD TS-SCI clearance.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of corporate offices and parking facilities to identify unusual activity and hazards.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and building entry procedures while assisting with site-specific access requirements.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
