Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join our SLBM team at NSWC Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. This on-site role focuses on designing and maintaining automated test scripts, writing detailed test plans, and executing tests across multiple levels.

Candidates should have 2+ years of software testing experience, Linux proficiency, and strong requirements traceability. U.S. citizenship and on-site work five days a week are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code and working with Linux environments.
• Strong requirements traceability and communication skills for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects with rapid resolution collaboration.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities; interface with government customers daily.
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
