Job summary

SimVentions seeks a Test Engineer to join the NSWC Dahlgren team, designing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks, and developing detailed test plans tied to requirements. You will execute manual and automated testing across multiple levels and collaborate with developers and government customers to resolve software defects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code
• Experience using Linux systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers
• Experience linking requirements to test cases and managing test artifacts

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied directly to requirements
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level)
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities
• Interface directly with government customers daily
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation
