Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer in Springfield, VA to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and automation scripts. This role emphasizes quality, automation, and continuous improvement to support DoD mission-critical systems and secure national defense.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of related experience in software testing/QA.
• Certifications such as Security+, ISTQB are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Perform manual and automated testing using industry-standard tools (Selenium, JUnit, Postman, JMeter, Cypress).
• Implement and manage automated test pipelines in CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Maintain traceability and document test results, evidence, and metrics for accreditation and customer reporting.
