SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the NSWCDD Dahlgren team in Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on designing automated test scripts, crafting test plans linked to requirements, and executing both manual and automated tests across multiple levels.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in software or systems testing, experience with Linux, and strong requirements traceability. An active Secret clearance is required for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software/systems testing experience.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile sprint meetings and Configuration Control Board activities.
• Interface directly with government customers daily; occasionally present testing docs.
