Job summary

DAS Services is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team in supporting DoD programs. The role involves collaborating with Engineers, Analysts, and SMEs to collect and organize information for technical reports, briefings, and presentations.

You will edit for clarity and ensure compliance with DoD guidelines (AR 25-50). The position requires an Active Secret Clearance, a Bachelor's degree, and 5+ years of defense industry experience, plus strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of related experience in DoD/Defense.
• Experience with Army correspondence (AR 25-50) and technical writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail.
• Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize information for technical reports, correspondence, and presentations.
• Edit and proofread technical information for documents and briefings.
• Ensure DoD guidelines are followed in reports and briefings (AR 25-50).
• Explain scientific/technical ideas in clear, simple language.
• Prepare briefings, papers, schedules to provide status and technical approaches to government customers.
• Interface directly with government and contractor engineers and management.
