Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation seeks a Systems Engineer to provide technical support for the C3I&N Directorate at Lackland AFB. The role is full-time and requires DoD experience and a TS/SCI-accessible mindset.

You will support acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and operations across multiple programs. Responsibilities include program reviews, technical document preparation, and management reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of systems engineering experience including at least 3 years in a DoD environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Additional years may substitute for degree requirements.
• Understanding of software, operating systems, networks, storage, and how they relate to system architecture and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Review program portfolios to evaluate plans and improve systems engineering programs and tests.
• Conduct program reviews to evaluate plans, designs, and test results ensuring subsystem performance.
• Prepare technical documents defining system/subsystem characteristics.
• Prepare management reports and deliver technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective actions.
• Validate systems and analyze results; develop criteria and procedures for evaluation.
• Provide system/program engineering support and technical training across acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and operations.
• Support risk management activities per Air Force SEAM processes.
