Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
• Secret Security Clearance required at hire
• Ability to read and understand Production Drawings
• Ability to read and understand Wiring Diagrams
• Familiarity with cable building, including build up of cable assemblies
• Familiarity with electronics testing equipment, including voltmeters and oscilloscopes
• May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment
• Ability to work in environments with extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors
• Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level

Responsibilities

• Support the design, build, troubleshooting, delivery, maintenance and support of trainers and test systems for Army and Navy DoD contracts
• Perform duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas
• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems
• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions
• Operate related equipment
• Conduct tests and report data in the prescribed format
• Perform calibration and alignment checks
• Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions
