Job summary

Greystones Group in San Diego, CA seeks an experienced System Administrator to support and maintain DoD technology infrastructure, networks, and emerging AI/ML solutions. The role involves liaison with Navy and DoD customers, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring secure, compliant operations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in system administration or systems engineering, a DoD background, and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience as a system, network, or IT administrator or systems engineer.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (military equivalent considered).
Experience supporting DoD customers or programs.
Experience working with OEMs, technology vendors, or government technical representatives.
Understanding of AI/ML concepts, platforms, and compute environments.
Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and support backup and disaster recovery.
Maintain security controls in line with DoD cybersecurity requirements, and keep system documentation current.
Deploy, integrate, and sustain AI/ML applications and computing environments.
Troubleshoot AI/ML integration issues and stay current on relevant DoD technologies.
Serve as liaison between Greystones, Navy/DoD customers, internal teams, and OEMs.
Support integration and sustainment of Navy systems; translate requirements into solutions.
Maintain knowledge of OEM products, platforms, and roadmaps for assigned programs.
