Job summary

Tri Star Engineering, Inc. seeks an experienced Software Integration Engineer to support a DoD software development and integration program.

The role focuses on configuring, deploying, and validating software builds within a Windows-based enterprise environment (Windows Server, AD DS, VMware, OpenShift). The successful candidate will install, test, troubleshoot, and release software, ensuring mission-critical capabilities are delivered to the customer.

Qualifications

Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows-based software applications.
Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or federal programs.
Experience with OpenShift Container Platform administration and deployment.
Experience with Kubernetes concepts: pods, deployments, services, routes, PVs, namespaces.
Experience administering Windows Server environments and AD DS.

Responsibilities

Configure and maintain Windows AD DS including domain membership, GPO, DNS, and authentication services.
Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot containerized applications using OpenShift in Windows-based environments.
Support containerization efforts and deployment of applications into OpenShift clusters.
Install, configure, and validate software builds, patches, hotfixes, and system updates.
Support software deployment at government/contractor facilities and ensure readiness.
Plan, coordinate, execute, and validate software releases for engineering, test, and production environments.
Assist in delivering four planned software releases annually.
Execute software installation verification and post-installation functional testing.
Configure OS, apps, Windows services, networking, and container platforms for integrated operation.
Troubleshoot installation, AD authentication, OpenShift deployment, networking, and integration issues.
Support software build validation and acceptance testing prior to delivery.
Develop and maintain test procedures, cases, plans, and reports.
Document test results, anomalies, defects, and corrective actions.
Support troubleshooting during lab, demo, and acceptance events.
Maintain software version control and configuration management processes.
Coordinate with systems engineering, cybersecurity, QA, DevSecOps, and CM personnel for baselines.
Provide remote and on-site integration/test support at facilities.
Participate in technical interchange meetings, integration reviews, readiness assessments, and customer demos.
