Job summary

REIC Rentals is hiring an Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment over 10,000 lbs in a shop setting, with occasional field service. You will inspect returned equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with a range of diesel and gasoline equipment, values safety, and works well in a team in a fast-paced environment.

REIC Rentals is hiring a courteous and detail-oriented Service Technician (a.k.a Equipment Mechanic).

Our ideal candidate has experience working on a wide variety of equipment (both diesel and gasoline), values safety, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with: Mechanic work on all types of equipment from gas to diesel vehicles, to general tool to dirt moving and ariel equipment, working outside in all types of weather conditions.

Training provided (in addition to OJT): REIC Rentals Safety, Equipment, and Process training.

About the Role

As an Equipment Mechanic, you'll primarily work in our shop performing maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel and gasoline-powered equipment over 10,000 lbs. When equipment returns from the field, you'll inspect it for damage, complete necessary repairs, and perform preventative maintenance to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Occasional field service may be required as needed.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• Technical repair knowledge across a wide range of equipment.
• Ability to work primarily in the shop with occasional field service.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Clean driving record with no violations within the previous three years.
• Personal hand tools appropriate for general equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more multiple times throughout the day.

Physical Requirements Approximate percentage of the workday: Standing - 20% Walking - 70% Sitting - 10%

If hired after the internship, target compensation is estimated between $52K - $82K per year, depending on many factors - this is just an estimate.

This position is classified as non-exempt.
