Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking an Equipment Mechanic for its Brighton, Colorado operation under the DoD SkillBridge Internship. You will perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment over 10,000 lbs, primarily in our shop, with occasional field service.

Training provided, including safety and equipment processes. You’ll diagnose and fix diesel and gasoline-powered gear, order parts, manage inventories, document service work, and communicate with customers about repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanic work on equipment from gas to diesel engines.
• Training provided including safety and process training.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and work in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline-powered equipment, primarily in the shop with occasional field service as needed.
• Service and operate equipment over 10,000 lbs.

• Accurately identify and order required replacement parts.

DoD SkillBridge Internship: Service Technician SkillBridge Host Company: REIC SkillBridge Provider: Vets2PM LLC Location: Brighton, Colorado Applicants must be active-duty U.S. Military Members who qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program.

REIC Rentals is hiring a courteous and detail-oriented Service Technician (a.k.a Equipment Mechanic).

Experience with:

• Mechanic work on all types of equipment from gas to diesel vehicles, to general tool to dirt moving and ariel equipment, working outside in all types of weather conditions.

Training provided (in addition to OJT): REIC Rentals Safety, Equipment, and Process training.

About the Role

As an Equipment Mechanic, you'll primarily work in our shop performing maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel and gasoline-powered equipment over 10,000 lbs. When equipment returns from the field, you'll inspect it for damage, complete necessary repairs, and perform preventative maintenance to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Occasional field service may be required as needed.

• Technical repair knowledge across a wide range of equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Clean driving record with no violations within the previous three years.
• Personal hand tools appropriate for general equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more multiple times throughout the day.

Physical Requirements

Approximate percentage of the workday: Standing – 20% Walking – 70% Sitting – 10%

This position is classified as non-exempt.

If hired after the internship, target compensation is estimated between $52K - $82K per year, depending on many factors - this is just an estimate.
