Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide high-tier technical support for CRFS equipment, both remotely and on-site in the United States. You will train end-users, diagnose complex issues, and assist with installations at customer locations, while collaborating with sales for demonstrations.

The role includes managing demo gear, compiling test plans, and relaying feedback to internal teams to drive product improvements.

Qualifications

• Active US service military member eligible for DoD SkillBridge.
• Solid understanding of RF concepts (frequency, power, spectrum analysis).
• Proficient with RF test equipment including spectrum and network analyzers and multimeters.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred; military technical schooling considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience working with static-sensitive equipment in ESD-controlled environments.
• Basic to intermediate networking skills including TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in specialized software and OS environments.
• Up to 50% travel, domestic with some international.
• Ability to work remotely, on-site, in the office and in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-tier technical assistance remotely and on-site to CRFS customers
• Maintain and deliver end-user training from basic system and software operation to advanced system use
• Perform diagnostics and high-level repairs on CRFS equipment in the office and field
• Deploy to customer locations to support, configure, and assist with CRFS equipment installation
• Develop test plans and summary project reports for customer exercises and field activities
• Support Sales Teams with system capability demonstrations and technical advice
• Manage demonstration equipment and inventory, ensuring calibration, updates, and deployment readiness
• Relay field data and feature requests to internal teams to drive product improvement
• Travel to customer sites and trade events, up to 50%, primarily domestic with some international
• Perform other related duties as assigned
