Job summary

TekSynap is seeking a Journeyman Computer User Support Specialist to join the United States Air Force, 53rd Wing at Nellis AFB, NV. This role provides day-to-day IT support, addressing end-user issues, software installs, and policy enforcement to ensure secure operations.

Qualifications

• Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
• Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01‑M requirements for IA Technician I or IA Manager I within 6 months of hire.
• 3–5 years of IT experience.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience preferred.
• Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
• Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Provides end users on a variety of issues; documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure timely resolution.
• Software installation and support of commercial software and related upgrades.
• Update solutions database with applicable resolutions.
• Problem solving, hardware/software installation and configuration based on computing standards, and client support for all network and desktop.
• Monitors and enforces all IT policies and procedures.
• Assist with setting up new users in IDAM and multiple level security LDAP profiles.
• Installs and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware.
• Maintains, upgrades and repairs PCs/laptops and Windows desktop applications for all systems.
