Job summary

LaunchTech is seeking an IT Scrum Master to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role drives Agile leadership across dispersed teams in Huntsville and Colorado Springs in an onsite/hybrid setting.

The successful candidate partners with the Release Train Engineer, implements SAFe-based processes, and coaches engineers to deliver secure, high-quality IT solutions while maintaining DoD compliance. A veteran-owned culture of excellence and growth awaits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of general full-time work experience.
• 2+ years as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Project Manager.
• Current Agile certification (CSM, PSM I, or SSM).
• Experience with Agile management tools (Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps).
• Active DoW Secret Security Clearance required; Top Secretability a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the RTE to align Scrum Master role with SAFe frameworks.
• Design, implement, and train IT teams on customized Agile processes for structured delivery.
• Foster a cohesive, hybrid team across HSV and COS with virtual collaboration.
• Facilitate an optimized Agile cadence for IT and infrastructure teams.
• Coach teams on Scrum practices to deliver high-quality IT solutions.
• Assist the Product Owner and Tech Leads with backlog and user stories.
• Document planning data in the system of record for accurate reporting.
• Deliver metrics to the RTE on a weekly basis.
• Identify, track, and resolve impediments hindering sprint goals.
• Manage capacity, velocity, and burn-down charts; coordinate dependencies.
• Ensure IT service delivery and cybersecurity tasks integrate into Agile workflow.
• Foster continuous improvement and accountability.
