Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to lead cybersecurity efforts within a DoD environment, focusing on RMF compliance and secure AWS workloads. The role involves creating, submitting, and maintaining SSPs/POA&Ms and attaining DoD ATOs for container-based solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years as an ISSE on DoD projects, experience with RMF/STIG, and hands-on use of eMASS, STIG Viewer, SonarQube, Trivy, Wiz, Splunk, and GuardDuty.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years as an ISSE on DoD software projects.
• Proven experience generating SSPs/POA&Ms for RMF/STIG.
• Hands-on DoD tools: eMASS, STIG Viewer.
• Experience obtaining/maintaining DoD ATO for AWS container workloads.
• Cybersecurity background: threat modeling, vulnerability management, monitoring, data protection.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ISSE for DoD software projects across the full system lifecycle.
• Submit SSPs, POA&Ms, and artifacts for RMF/STIG processes.
• Apply DoD tools (eMASS, STIG Viewer) to manage security packages.
• Obtain and maintain DoD ATO for AWS container workloads.
• Define software mitigation requirements from SAST outputs (SonarQube).
• Recommend data protection measures and test security controls.
• Test/verify security controls to reduce risk across apps and infra.
• Conduct threat modeling to identify attack vectors and mitigations.
• Lead vulnerability management across dev and ops teams.
• Monitor security posture with appropriate tooling and processes.
• Collaborate across engineering, security, business, and customers.
