Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to own secure code integration across the software delivery lifecycle.

The role requires a Security Clearance and collaboration with ISSM and Cyber Security Engineer to translate NIST/DISA/DoD requirements into automated controls. The position involves building hardened CI/CD pipelines, integrating SAST/DAST/SCA, and enabling secure deployments to government and customer environments, including air‑gapped systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Minimum 5 years in software, DevOps, platform or security engineering.
• Security+ or DoD 8140/8570 IAT II certification required.
• Hands‑on scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Own secure code integration from source through build, test, release and deployment.
• Directly support developers deploying software to government and customer systems.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and hardened builds.
• Integrate SAST/DAST/SCA, secrets, container and IaC scanning in a unified stack.
• Define promotion gates and remediation timelines with exception handling.
• Troubleshoot findings and unblock delivery for developers.
• Automate system hardening, validation and evidence collection for audits.
• Develop controls in AWS GovCloud with SCPs, IAM, KMS, Config and Security Hub.
• Implement software supply chain protections and secure dependencies.
• Support promotion into classified/offline environments and offline mirrors.
• Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for services and pipelines.
• Map controls to NIST SPs, DISA STIGs, RMF and CMMC 2 obligations.
• Create secure development guidance and repeatable patterns.
• Act as backup for build/artifact/pipeline systems and participate in security on‑call.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/Security
