Gov-Ready DevSecOps Engineer with DoD Clearance

Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to own secure code integration across the software delivery lifecycle. The role requires a DoD security clearance and will work with developers to ensure secure builds, tests, packaging, and deployments into government and customer environments.

You will define promotion gates, enforce severity, and create repeatable deployment workflows while collaborating with ISSM and Cyber Security Engineer to meet DoD/NIST requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Own secure code integration from source through build, test, release, and deployment.
• Support developers deploying software onto Government and customer systems.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and hardened build environments.
• Integrate and tune SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets and container scanning.
• Define and enforce promotion gates and remediation deadlines.
• Troubleshoot findings and unblock delivery with developers.
• Automate hardening, validation, and evidence collection using IaC/policy-as-code.
• Build controls in AWS GovCloud with SCPs and RMF guidance.
• Implement software supply chain protections and SBOM management.
• Support promotion into classified/air-gapped environments.
• Lead threat modeling and security reviews for new services.
• Map controls to NIST/ DISA/ CMMC; assist assessments.
• Develop secure development guidance and repeatable patterns.
• Provide backup for build/pipeline systems and participate in on-call rotation.
