Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to maintain the integrity, security, availability, and performance of enterprise databases in a DoD/IC environment. The role focuses on administration, monitoring, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and compliance with cybersecurity requirements.

Candidates must hold a TS/SCI clearance and have 10+ years of DoD/IC database experience, with expertise across Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, and related DBMS.

Qualifications

• The Database Administrator must have TS/SCI clearance and 10+ years of enterprise DB experience in DoD/IC environments.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase and other RDBMS; experience with security, backup/recovery, and DR planning.
• Familiarity with STIGs, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity best practices; ability to support mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain integrity, security, and availability of multiple database environments
• Administer, monitor, and optimize enterprise databases for performance
• Plan and test disaster recovery for database systems
• Perform query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and certifications
• Execute installation, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning of DBMS
• Support integration with application servers and data storage architectures
