Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to design, deploy, and sustain enterprise storage solutions for DoD/IC environments. The role provides Tier 3 engineering support, ensures high availability, data integrity, performance, and recoverability across WANs.

Ideal candidates have TS/SCI clearance and 8+ years of storage experience in DoD/IC, with NAS/SAN expertise and strong patch management skills.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance.
8+ years of enterprise storage experience in DoD/IC.
Experience with NAS, SAN, replication, backup, and DR.
Experience troubleshooting complex storage, replication, and performance issues across WANs.
Familiarity with patch management and system updates, high-availability architectures, and DR/COOP planning.
Experience mentoring junior staff and providing Tier 3 engineering support.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise storage environments.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise storage and network storage appliances.
Provide Tier 3 support for storage systems and storage-related incidents.
Install system patches and perform storage platform updates.
Engineer and manage storage allocation, capacity planning, space utilization, and replication strategies.
Analyze and resolve complex issues related to storage systems and network storage solutions.
Troubleshoot and restore enterprise-wide storage and replication failures across WANs.
Perform data recovery operations to ensure system continuity and mission availability.
Monitor storage performance, availability, and utilization to prevent outages.
Provide technical recommendations for storage upgrades, enhancements, and lifecycle improvements.
Support project integration efforts, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and recovery plans.
Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity, data protection, and operational requirements.
