Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Property Equipment Manager to oversee Government Furnished Property, material, and tools supporting the Force Protection mission. This role ensures accurate inventory, lifecycle records, and timely disposition across FP equipment and related systems.

The position prioritizes real-time asset tracking, serialised asset details, and coordination with field service representatives; it requires an Active Secret Clearance, drug screen, and background check.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• At least five years of experience managing government property, supply operations, logistics, or lifecycle management in a DoD or federal environment.
• Experience managing serialized equipment, repair parts, tools, consumables, and high‑value assets as part of lifecycle management.
• Experience with shipping and receiving, international logistics, export controls, customs documentation, and hazardous-material shipping requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and database/reporting tools.
• Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
• Preferred: knowledge or experience in electromechanical repair or general equipment maintenance and repair.
• Active Secret Clearance is required; verifiable in JPAS.
• Must pass drug screen, medical clearance, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability, inventory control, and MIS records for GFP, GFM, contractor property, repair parts, tools, and consumables.
• Maintain real-time lifecycle records including serialized asset details, location, condition, status, preventive maintenance schedules, and warranty status.
• Manage storage, warehousing, receiving, inspection, preservation, packaging, configuration, issuance, and COSIS activities at Shaw AFB and across the AFCENT AOR.
• Conduct physical inventories; reconcile discrepancies; prepare adjustment documentation; update records for asset receipt, issue, transfer, repair, relocation, and disposition.
• Maintain spare-part and consumable stock levels; manage hazardous materials; coordinate acquisitions; identify long-lead or mission-critical material needs.
• Coordinate with OCONUS Field Service Representatives to ensure status accuracy across work orders, inventory, and parts.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipping, receiving, transportation, customs, export, hazardous material, tracking, and delivery requirements.
• Support equipment modernization, lifecycle planning, property transfer and disposal, and audit-ready reporting to sustain equipment readiness and 98% FMC.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
