Job summary

Advanced Armor Research Group, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to support design, development, manufacture, test and evaluation of prototype components and systems. The role will involve hands-on design, analysis, and documentation for government projects in multiple locations.

The successful candidate will coordinate with vendors and military sponsors, ensure DoD compliance, and manage schedules and budgets while producing formal technical reports and engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years in manufacturing, product development or R&D.
• 3+ years as government civilian, military or gov. contractor.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance and pass drug test/background check.
• Excellent work ethic with ability to work 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday.
• Experience drafting DoW contracts, SOWs, and project reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design for manufacturing and analysis of mechanical and electrical components.
• Support design, analysis, testing, models, drawings, hardware repair, sensor evaluation and integration for government prototypes.
• Review and redline drawings, specifications, firmware, and software for DRs, NORs, and ECPs.
• Monitor supply chain sources, vendor materials, and manufacturing processes to align with budgets and schedules.
• Manage major equipment purchases and vendor negotiations to maintain delivery schedules at national facilities.
• Interface with vendors and U.S. Military and civilian sponsors to deliver systems per DoD standards.
• Engage senior management on technical matters coordinating between organizations to manage financial execution and planning.
• Document requirements and milestones with technical staff.
