Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Program Manager to lead contract performance across DoD and federal agency customers. You will direct program plans, schedules, staffing, budgets, and risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with security obligations and contract requirements.

The role requires an active SECRET clearance, US citizenship or permanent residence, and extensive DoD program management experience. This is a full-time position with strong benefits and a path to mission-critical results.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance required on first day.
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident status required for government contract.
• PMP or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification preferred; or equivalent.
• 15+ years of combined DoD or federal agency experience in financial management, program management, IT, material management, or logistics.
• Five+ years of program or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary POC for customer, contracting officer, and program team.
• Lead all aspects of program and project management including planning, execution, risk management, issue resolution and closeout.
• Develop and manage program plans, schedules, staffing, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across financial management, IT, material management, logistics, and mission requirements.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of products and services.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues to stakeholders.
• Coordinate resources and personnel to meet mission priorities and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and deliver program status reports, briefings, and documentation for government and internal leadership.
• Support financial planning, cost control, resource allocation and budget execution as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/federal/customer policies and procedures.
