Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Ft. Meade, MD, supporting DISA and DoD IT enterprise initiatives. You’ll design and troubleshoot network and security architectures, with emphasis on IS-IS/OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS, DMVPN/SD-WAN, and firewall technologies. TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Ideal candidates will have CCNP, ISE experience, and a proven ability to work independently in a dynamic, mission-critical environment. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; additional 5 years of experience accepted.
• 10+ years of network engineering with 3 years in design/architecture.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• CCNP certification required; DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II baseline certs required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and troubleshoot network and network security architecture.
• Provide autonomous senior-level engineering contributions and escalation support.
• Coordinate with IA engineers to meet security controls and DISA STIG requirements.
• Create/update technical documentation and deployment templates for network equipment.
• Lead complex performance, security, and troubleshooting investigations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory policies.
