Job summary

CompQsoft is seeking an Intermediate Network Engineer to join our DISA program team in Fort Meade, MD. You will design, test, and maintain gateway solutions, working with DoD networks and secure devices to ensure mission success.

The role requires DoD/Govt experience, a CS degree, and 5+ years in IP network design, including VPNs, routing, switching and security devices. Excellent communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• DoD/government program experience preferred; DISA experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years IP network design experience including Routing/Switching and IPSEC VPNs.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting network traffic.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Word & Excel).
• Excellent communication, effective leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, implement and maintain Gateway engineering solutions.
• Design engineering enhancements and develop engineering change requests.
• Analyze existing and planned gateway solutions and architectures and make recommendations.
• Configure Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, voice gateways, and UC managers.
• Utilize security devices including HAIPE, crypto ignition keys and SIPRNet hard tokens.
• Apply patches and updates to maintain performance, availability and security.
• Write test plans, conduct testing, and deliver test reports.
• Develop detailed implementation plans and configuration guides.
• Deliver timely resolution and document troubleshooting procedures to mitigate issues.
• Perform incident response tasks and services restoration.
• Provide engineering support to mitigate IA findings.
• Provide support to the Automation Team.
• Provide on-call Tier III support as needed.
