Job summary

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Engineer to provide technical support for strategic network and information services at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities include designing and troubleshooting network solutions, supporting classified and unclassified networks, and coordinating with vendors for hardware/software updates. The role requires 8+ years of experience, a Security+ CE certification, and Cisco/Juniper expertise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in network engineering and telecommunications support.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or an IT-related field.
• Must be Security+ CE certified.
• CCNA/CCNP certification desired.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper routers/switches and network design/troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, implement, and troubleshoot network solutions per AF standards for 66 ABG/SC and customers.
• Provide engineering support for classified and unclassified networks.
• Assist in securing network systems to meet DoD/AF/DISA compliance.
• Participate in maintenance and optimization of the enterprise infrastructure.
• Interface with vendors for warranty claims and upgrades.
• Diagnose data troubles, manage trouble tickets, and ensure timely resolutions.
