Job summary

Blu Omega LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to support a federal program at Hanscom AFB in Lincoln, MA. The role is onsite full-time with potential limited remote work occasionally.

You will engineer, administer, troubleshoot, and modernize secure enterprise networks across classified and unclassified environments. Ideal candidates bring approximately 10 years of senior networking experience, hands-on Cisco routing/switching/ISE, and a strong ability to design and troubleshoot complex networks

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required before start.
• Security+ certification required before start.
• Approximately 10 years of senior-level network engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, Cisco switches, and Cisco ISE.
• Strong experience with routing, switching, network design, implementation, operations, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with OSPF, VRF, VRRP, QoS, VLANs, STP, 802.1X, ACLs, IPsec, and stacking.
• Experience with DHCP, SolarWinds Orion NPM/NCM, Wireshark, AAA, SNMPv3, Syslog, and network monitoring tools.
• Experience supporting VoIP environments.
• Ability to work onsite full time at Hanscom AFB.
• Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, operate, and troubleshoot secure enterprise network infrastructure.
• Support Cisco routers, switches, ISE, and related network security technologies.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues, outages, and incidents.
• Support network modernization, lifecycle planning, capacity, reliability, and upgrades.
• Maintain secure and compliant network configurations and documentation.
• Support VoIP network issues and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex network problems.
• Provide occasional night or weekend surge support when needed.
