Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Network Discovery Lead to guide discovery and planning for DAFA networks migrating to DoDNet. You will oversee multiple teams, mentor engineers, and drive secure network designs that align with DoD standards.

Ideal candidates have extensive network engineering leadership, strong documentation skills, and the ability to partner with stakeholders and project managers to deliver mission-critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 12+ years in relevant roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple teams of engineers and analysts performing physical and virtual discovery of DAFA networks and develop detailed migration plans to DoDNet.
• Mentor network engineers and collaborate with Network Engineering Lead and Project Managers.
• Seek process improvements to accelerate discovery, analysis, and planning.
• Design secure network solutions to consolidate or migrate connectivity services.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop designs using standard patterns.
• Design secure WAN/LAN/overlay architectures supporting QoS and security.
• Provide secure access solutions across wired and wireless technologies.
• Incorporate capacity planning into network and security stack designs.
• Identify data paths, firewall rules, and ACLs to shape the to-be service.
• Support IP addressing schemes across IPv4/IPv6 and DoD IA accreditation artifacts.
