Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Network Architect to lead enterprise network architecture, modernization, and security across DoW environments. The role focuses on data center, campus/branch, WAN/SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity with Zero Trust and RMF compliance.

The successful candidate will design resilient networks, drive automation, and align with standards and roadmaps while communicating with senior leadership and mission stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years general full-time work experience.
• 5+ years designing and leading large-scale DoW networks.
• 1+ year in a management/leadership role.
• Expert level knowledge of routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), EVPN VXLAN and/or MPLS.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust segmentation, 802.1X/NAC, identity aware firewall policy, and FIPS validated cryptography.
• Familiar with hybrid/multi cloud networking patterns and IL4/5/6 constraints; RMF/STIG compliance.
• Active DoW Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end network design for data centers, campus/branch, WAN/SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity.
• Develop and maintain network architecture roadmaps, standards, and best practices.
• Architect segmentation and micro-segmentation with secure access and crypto boundaries.
• Support MDA on the IRES contract with enterprise network standards and deliverables.
