Job summary

Atlas Technologies seeks a Linux Net​work Engineer in Charleston, SC to administer Linux/Windows systems, support DoD missions, and ensure network reliability. You will work on air-gapped labs, internal mirrors, and security for servers, desktops, routers, and users.

The role requires DoD experience, security clearance eligibility, and a mix of Cisco networking, Red Hat systems, virtualization, and containerization expertise. On-site only, with a strong customer-support focus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant DoD IT experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• One security certification (Security+, CISSP) plus one OS certification (Linux+, CCNA).
• Experience with Web/ application servers (Apache, IIS).
• Proven Systems Administration and Maintenance duties across Windows and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Cisco-based networking support across lab and DoD environments.
• Design, build, and maintain Red Hat–based systems including air-gapped labs.
• Deploy and manage virtualization platforms (VMware, oVirt).
• Build and maintain container infrastructure and OpenShift clusters.
