Job summary

Bowhead is hiring a Customer Technical Support Specialist (NEN) in Dahlgren, VA to provide desktop support for NSWCDD. The role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues while supporting data migrations and user communications.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of two years of IT support experience.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must demonstrate strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must multitask and collaborate to resolve IT issues.
• Understanding of current Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be DoD 8570 IAT level II compliant (Security+).
• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues using standard techniques.
• Assist users with data migrations during system refresh cycles.
• Monitor support mailbox to ensure timely responses to user requests.
• Provide public folder management and administer permissions as needed.
• Manage shared drives; train content managers and handle configuration duties.
• Develop and maintain IT procedures to support the organization.
• Support DoD and NSWCDD data calls and information management tasks.
• Contribute to monthly progress and status reports.
