Job summary

Saalex Corporation is seeking a Business Development Manager in Lexington Park, MD. The role focuses on identifying and advancing opportunities across DoW programs, building a robust pipeline, and supporting capture and proposal activities.

You will engage with government and industry partners to position Saalex for long-term growth, leveraging DoW cybersecurity requirements and DoN mission environments. A hybrid work model is offered with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of Naval Programs experience supporting Pax River or Webster Field/NAWCAD Wolf.
• Understanding of DoW acquisition lifecycle, FAR/DFARS, and major contract vehicles.
• Experience with DoW agencies (Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Marines).
• DoW cybersecurity/compliance knowledge (CMMC, NIST SP 800-171).
• Proficiency with CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Support growth initiatives across DoW, focusing on DoN mission environments.
• Build and maintain qualified pipeline opportunities aligned to company growth priorities.
• Assist with opportunity identification, qualification, competitive analysis, and capture support activities.
• Develop and maintain customer and teaming relationships across government and industry stakeholders.
• Support proposal development including proposal writing and color teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across capture, operations, contracts, and finance leadership.
• Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify trends.
• Maintain CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics 365), pipeline forecasting, and opportunity tracking.
