Job summary

The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University in State College, PA, is seeking a strategic security professional to join the Security Services Office. You will safeguard ARL personnel, facilities, material, and information in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

The role involves supporting DoD/USG industrial security programs, developing security practices and trainings, and assisting in security inspections.

Qualifications

• DoD/USG industrial security experience is required.
• Knowledge of proper handling, marking and storage of classified documents and hardware.
• Knowledge of safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
• Familiarity with security regulations and the ability to apply them in practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with industrial security programs such as Personnel Security, Classified Control, and/or physical security systems.
• Provide proactive security support and high-quality customer service to diverse organizational groups.
• Help develop industrial security practices, procedures, trainings, and briefings while ensuring compliance with government policies.
• Handle intake of complex collateral security matters and determine appropriate processes.
• Work autonomously in a busy, service-driven environment.
• Assist in security inspections and coordination with US government agencies.
