BizFirst is recruiting a full-time DoD Financial Reporting SME to support a Department of Defense client in high-level financial reporting and policy compliance. The role requires extensive DoD accounting standards knowledge (USSGL/SFIS), expertise in trading partner elimination, and the ability to map data to federal reporting requirements while ensuring audit readiness.

A Top Secret or higher clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in DoD financial reporting and compliance.
• Expertise in USSGL and SFIS standards.
• Knowledge of trading partner elimination processes.
• Ability to map accounting data to federal reporting requirements.
• Experience with federal financial systems design and controls.
• Excellent written and verbal documentation for technical audiences.
• Top Secret level clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary SME on DoD financial data standards and reporting.
• Remediate trading partner elimination issues.
• Interpret USSGL and SFIS for cross-system reporting.
• Advise on mapping data to federal requirements and audit standards.
• Analyze transactions for DoD policy alignment.
• Support system and data validation for posting logic.
• Develop and review financial reports, reconciliations, and controls docs.
• Translate policy guidance into actionable data requirements.
• Suggest enhancements and testing approaches for compliance initiatives.
