Job summary

Stantec GS, Inc. seeks to build a team of interdisciplinary Facility Assessors/Inspectors to work on a large-scale Facility Condition Assessment program at DoD installations across the US. Assessors must have knowledge in mechanical, electrical, shell, roofing, structural and interior elements.

This role suits facility managers, project/field engineers, construction tradespersons, or CAD/BIM staff. The position reports to a Stantec office and is eligible for remote/hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated on-the-job experience or formal trade school education in building systems.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to travel 50%+.
• Technical writing and reporting skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inventory of client facilities classifying components per ASTM UNIFORMAT II.
• Assess facilities to determine physical condition and code conformance.
• Use facility condition assessment software; familiarity with BUILDER SMS desirable.
• Document mechanical/electrical equipment and subcomponents with tablets.
• Work under supervision following standard practices.
• Inspect large complexes; climb ladders as needed and walk up to 5 miles daily.
