Job summary

CGI Federal seeks an Applications Programmer to support development and sustainment of the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) for the DoD. Located in Harrisburg, PA, the role requires a BA/BS in a technical field, 8 years of experience, and a Secret clearance.

You will work on a Microsoft-based enterprise platform using SQL Server, .NET 8.0, IIS 10.0, and Report Server. The candidate will contribute to secure, modern software solutions serving 50+ agencies and millions of assets,

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in a technical discipline is required.
Eight years' experience in the field is required.
Experience with sustainment lifecycle management in program or project operations is required.
U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance are required for the role.

Responsibilities

Provide expertise and support for sustainment lifecycle management activities across ELMS programs and operations.
Participate in designing software tools and subsystems to support reuse and modularity.
Assist with development, testing, and maintenance of computer applications to meet user and mission requirements.
Collaborate with systems analysts to research and document user requirements.
Translate objectives and technical challenges into detailed program specifications.
Prepare documentation for programmers, users, and support personnel.
Assist with program design activities, including defining data structures and error messaging.
Modify and document program code to fix defects or enhance capabilities.
Assist with application testing and prepare status and maintenance reports.
