Connected Logistics is seeking to hire an Applications Programmer – Senior to support a DLA client's full software development lifecycle; to provide in-depth knowledge of requirements development, system design, system performance, software programming; and to design and manage the database and deployment of software.

Overview

Position: Applications Programmer – Senior. Location: not specified. Clearance: Tier 3 (Top Secret) Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop software based on requirements developed by Computer Systems Analysts to meet business solutions at an enterprise level, within the organization's application development framework.
• Collaborate with Computer Systems Analysts to fulfill client goals and implement the business solution.
• Execute work using the tools and techniques implemented by the DLA client and project teams.
• Work with Systems Architects to develop and implement new third-party applications, tools, and programming libraries to meet DLA development goals.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions; lead development efforts and mentor junior team members; contribute to architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable codebases.

Software Development & Architecture

• Design and develop complex software solutions using best practices and modern technologies.
• Ensure code quality through design reviews, code reviews, and adherence to development standards.
• Lead architectural discussions and contribute to implementing and deploying technology strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior developers.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.
• Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.
• Work closely with Product Owners, QA engineers, and Computer Systems Analysts to deliver value-driven features.
• Drive technical discussions and decision-making within the team.

• Identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
• Implement and advocate for secure coding practices.
• Ensure maintainability and scalability of software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10 years of professional software development experience.
• Expert experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
• Proven experience incorporating AI-enabled tools and workflows by integrating AI into analyzing and problem solving.
• Experience in leading software development teams or projects.
• Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) to support Low-Code/No Code Development Platform models.
• Experience using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools.
• Experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models.
• Experience using software tools such as Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, etc. with Microsoft SQL Server databases and Microsoft .NET development environment.
• Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development.
• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
• Position Sensitivity: Non-Critical Sensitive (Formerly IT-II or IT-2).
• Investigation Requirements: Must possess a favorable Tier 3 (T3) Secret Clearance.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience supporting the DLA Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) or the DLA Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS).
