Job summary

Clarity Innovations is seeking a mid-level Cyber Security Engineer to guide DoD-focused security engineering, RMF, and policy implementation. You will collaborate with application teams, review architectures, and ensure compliance with DoD standards, risk management, and accreditation processes.

The role requires DoD 8140/8570 IAT II/III certification, experience with Unix and DevSecOps, and the ability to obtain a CAC.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with DoD network engineering/management
• 3+ years in Cyber Security
• DoD 8140/8570 certification level: IAT II or IAT III
• At least one of CASP+, AWS Security, CCSP, CSSLP or ISC2 Associate, or equivalent
• Unix, DevSecOps, web application security, AWS cloud security, RMF and DoD policies
• Eligible to obtain a CAC

Responsibilities

• Advises application teams on security implications of software modifications and integration of security measures
• Documents proposed and actual changes and recommended security mitigations
• Conducts security engineering analyses including vulnerability and risk assessments
• Assesses effectiveness of security controls for DoD standards and objectives
• Evaluates applications for security risks and proposes policy/standards improvements
• Reviews architectures and data flows to identify and rectify security deficiencies
• Participates in customer meetings and supports security policy and remediation activities
• Supports product security discovery, architecture design, and control evaluation
• Shares best practices across teams
