Job summary

Jaxon Engineering and Maintenance in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Sustainment Project Engineer to lead schedules, manage customer communications, and drive project execution from inception to completion.

The role requires strong plan-reading and coordination skills, proficiency with MS Office and MS Project, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance. Travel is required and benefits include comprehensive insurance and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Plan reading, specifications, SOWs/RFPs proficiency.
• Experience coordinating project teams and schedules.
• Proficient with MS Office and MS Project; eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Produce schedules for active and anticipated projects.
• Define objectives by reviewing proposals and conferring with management.
• Identify project phases and assign responsibilities.
• Study product design, customer requirements, and performance standards to specify project needs.
• Coordinate with customers to communicate status and minimize scope creep.
• Review and deliver all project submittals.
• Develop/maintain logs and trackers for procurement, deliverables, RFIs and change management.
• Prepare status reports by collecting and summarizing information and trends.
