Job summary

Jaxon Engineering and Maintenance in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a Construction Project Engineer to lead project submittals, schedules, and cross-functional coordination on DoD-related and commercial construction efforts.

The role requires the ability to obtain a DoD Top-Secret clearance, travel as needed, and a strong background in plan reading, MS Office, and project coordination. This is a full-time position with a strong benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years of experience as a project engineer or similar role for related fields such as Commercial/Industrial Construction, DoD contracting, EMP protection or Manufacturing.
• Ability to obtain or current possession of U.S. Passport
• Understanding of and proficiency with plan reading, specifications, statements of work or requests for proposals
• Experience coordinating project teams and schedules
• Proficient with MS Office suite

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and deliver project submittals, customer deliverables, and other required documentation on time.
• Maintain project logs, trackers, and records, including procurement, RFIs, change management, and status reporting.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues or risks, elevate concerns, and recommend solutions to support successful outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution, timely completion of work, and achievement of shared goals.
• Uphold company quality standards, policies, and professional reputation while supporting additional project needs and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain schedules, scopes, and objectives for active and anticipated projects.
