Qualifications

• Active DOD Secret clearance is required, with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years developing layout and design for technology systems including voice, data, and structured cabling.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, and MS Visio.
• Must be well versed in BICSI guidelines and standards.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, and other industry standards related to design and installation of low voltage and telecommunications systems.
• Strong knowledge of Structured Cabling Systems including survey, design, installation, and testing/commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, coordinate, design, and oversee installation of DoD DISA J6P inside plant cable infrastructure.
• Provide Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs) for installation of spaces, pathways, and cable racks.
• Support maintenance and refreshes for 1800 Telecommunication Rooms at multiple sites.
• Provide documentation such as CIP, cut sheets, cost estimates, site surveys, and weekly reports.
• Develop maintenance plans for corrections ensuring compliance with DoD, DISA J6P, and industry standards.
• Work primarily on-site in Crystal City, Virginia with a Monday–Friday core schedule.
