Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated seeks a Journeyman Acquisition Specialist Analyst to support the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Norfolk, VA. You will ensure DoD compliance and influence mission readiness of naval aviation assets.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, a BA/BS, and 3–10 years in DoD acquisition management or program analysis within a naval aviation or MDAP context.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution.
• 3–10 years of direct experience in DoD acquisition management or program analysis.
• Deep familiarity with the DoD 5000 series lifecycle frameworks and defense procurement processes.
• Strong analytical capabilities and excellent technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and maintain program milestone documentation in alignment with DoD/SECNAV 5000 directives.
• Develop program acquisition artifacts (APs, ASRs, PIDs, PWS, funding documents, CDRLs, APBAs).
• Evaluate procedures and documentation against contract specs to identify risks and compliance gaps.
• Prepare, analyze, and deliver briefs, point papers, and formal correspondence.
• Participate in program review boards, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
