Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Documentum Architect to lead design, configuration, and integration of the enterprise ECM platform. You will drive requirements sessions, develop roadmaps, and implement components like Content Server, D2, xCP, and Webtop.

Collaboration across ERP/CRM and other systems will be essential to ensure scalable and secure access controls. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in Documentum, strong ECM knowledge, and hands-on Java/DQL experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of hands-on Documentum experience.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise content management principles and ECM best practices.
  • Experience with database systems (Oracle, SQL Server) and application servers (WebLogic, JBoss).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the solution design and architecture of the enterprise Documentum solution per business requirements.
  • Gather requirements with stakeholders to define document management needs and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Develop roadmaps and implementation plans for the Documentum environment.
  • Configure and deploy Documentum components (Content Server, D2, xCP, Webtop).
  • Integrate Documentum with ERP/CRM and other systems via APIs and middleware.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and secure access in the ECM solution.
  • Design and develop workflows, templates, and apps using Documentum tools.
  • Implement custom Documentum solutions using Java, DQL, DFS/REST APIs.
  • Collaborate with developers to build modules and components.
  • Provide troubleshooting, performance tuning, and documentation.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the solution design and architecture of the enterprise Documentum solution, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define document management needs and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Develop technical roadmaps and implementation plans for the Documentum environment.
  • Configure and deploy Documentum components, including Content Server, D2, xCP, Webtop, and other tools in the ecosystem.
  • Integrate Documentum with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.) using appropriate APIs and middleware.
  • Ensure scalability, performance optimization, and secure access controls within the ECM solution.
  • Design and develop custom workflows, templates, and applications using Documentum tools and technologies.
  • Implement custom Documentum solutions using Java, DQL, DFS/REST APIs, or other applicable frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers to create and maintain custom Documentum modules and components.
  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution within the Documentum environment.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor system health and perform upgrades, patches, and configuration updates as needed.
Qualifications
  • You Must have Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of hands‑on experience with Documentum products, including Content Server, D2, xCP, Webtop, or related components.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise content management principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and application servers (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss).
  • Experience with system integration, including knowledge of APIs, middleware, and enterprise systems with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of records management, compliance, and regulatory requirements in ECM solutions.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

Remote: This position is currently designated as remote. Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). The employee may be expected to travel to the Santa Isabel site location as needed.
