Job Summary
Under the general direction of the QA Engineer, the Documentation Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of document control, both internally within our organization and with our customers. Document control will include distribution of formal documents; review, organization, and compilation of quality records; and other tasks to support the Quality Management System (QMS).
Main Duties/Responsibilities

- In collaboration with other support functions, strive to do things right the first time.
- Review, revise, and maintain documentation processes and procedures.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure contractual documentation obligations are met.
- Expedite customers, suppliers, and internal personnel to ensure documentation flow supports the overall project schedules.
- Process, record, distribute or submit, and file project transmittals and controlled documents.
- Develop final data packages for projects (e.g., compiling, organizing, copying/scanning, etc.).
- Review and evaluate material test reports against purchase order requirements for acceptability.
- Prepare internal material test reports, certificates of conformity, and ASME Code data reports in a timely manner for the completion of each project.
- Assemble and retain working QA/QC files as documents are received from the different fabrication facilities.
- Issue and manage training to designated personnel in reference to various QMS documents, Engineering Standards, and industry Codes/Standards.
- Assist in the evaluation, selection, and management of any processes and/or software required to perform document control activities more effectively.
- Participate in general process improvements and initiatives.
- Perform various other documentation and administrative duties as needed.
QualificationsQualifications
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
Education/ Experience
- High School Diploma required
- Associate's degree is preferred

- High proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat Pro
