Position SummaryThe Quality Document Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining organized, compliant, and audit-ready records and documents in a control system within a manufacturing environment. In this role, the Quality Document Control Specialist will collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Production to control documentation workflows, manage change requests, and support internal and external compliance.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Coordinate the creation, review, approval, revision, distribution, and obsolescence of controlled documents like drawings, work instructions, and specificationsMaintain master documents to ensure only current, approved revisions are available at points of use while restricting obsolete filesUse automated systems to store and track all traceability and quality documentsReview production batch records or inspection reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliancePrepare objective evidence, organize files, and retrieve documentation smoothly for internal, customer, and regulatory auditsOrganize and maintain all production records and prepare completed job books for customer reviewWork efficiently and positively with teammates and shop floor employeesAssert stop work authority when something is wrong or unsafePosition Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approachResponsible and trustworthyFamiliarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, ASME, and/or APIProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe AcrobatHigh School DegreePosition Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)2 to 5 years of document control or quality system experienceAssociate or bachelor’s degree in Quality, Business Administration, or Engineering preferredPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
