Job summary

Security Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York, Inc. is seeking a Document Specialist to create, maintain, and test program coding sections. The role involves developing documents, running tests, and generating queries and reports for product filings.

The candidate will work with Publishing, database, and word processing tools to support new products, product maintenance, and regulatory changes within the Product Filing team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business is required; related field acceptable.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel is required.
• Experience with C# or similar programming language is required.
• Experience in life insurance industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program sections and other documents using Publishing software for correspondence generation for new products, product and state maintenance, product approvals, product enhancements, and regulation changes.
• Test program sections and documents; create test plans and manually generate correspondence to resolve printing and programming issues.
• Implement program sections and documents and ensure all aspects are functional; update documentation checklists and inform internal clients when items are complete.
• Create queries and reports using database software for testing purposes.
• Create and update documents using word processing software for the Product Filing team.
