Job summary

Dayton Children's Hospital in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Document Management Lead within the HIM Operations team. You will promote and establish standardized document control and capture solutions across the enterprise and lead the Quality Control Indexing team to ensure clinical documents are accessible in the patient’s EHR within defined timeframes.

You will serve as the training lead for decentralized document submission and own primary responsibility for enterprise document management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of admin/office experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and establish standardized document control and capture solutions enterprise-wide.
• Lead Quality Control Indexing to ensure clinical docs are accessible in the EHR on time with data integrity.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 3+ years previous experience in admin/office within healthcare related field

Skills And Competencies

• Excellent verbal and communication skills. Computer knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with medical terminology and medical records to identify medical record form content.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree
• 4-5+ years previous experience in HIM.
• RHIT or RHIA credentials
• Experience with Epic or similar EMR and document management electronic health record systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
