Job summary

Bodwé is seeking a Document Preparation Technician to support digitization at the American Indian Records Repository (AIRR) and other BTFA locations. You will prepare records for digitization by identifying documents, inserting barcodes, removing fasteners, and organizing files according to SOPs.

This role operates primarily in an office setting with periodic travel to project sites, including construction areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience in document preparation/clerical work or records management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain language a moderate public trust adjudication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boxes and files for digitization following SOPs.
• Insert barcodes to identify documents, boxes, or electronic files.
• Remove paperclips, staples, tape, sticky notes, binders and similar items.
• Conduct light clerical tasks including filing, copying, inventory creation, and basic record handling.
• Collaborate with digitization and quality control staff to maintain workflow accuracy.
• Follow NARA and DOI records policies during document preparation activities.
