Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Document Controls Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of document control systems across major hyperscale data center projects. You will ensure proper handling of drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, and turnover documentation, while driving information governance and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in construction/engineering/related field.
• 7+ years of document control, information management, or project controls experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale construction, EPC, or data center projects.
• Proficiency with document control systems, workflows, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, transmittals, quality records, and turnover.
• Ability to travel ~75% and support long-term onsite assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead document control activities across all project phases.
• Develop and implement document management procedures and governance practices.
• Manage document control systems for engineering, procurement, construction, quality, commissioning, and turnover.
• Ensure documents meet contractual requirements and project standards.
• Lead document control personnel and set priorities, workflows, and reporting.
• Maintain audit-ready project records throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate document exchanges among stakeholders and Michels entities.
• Lead audits and quality reviews of document management.
